Memberships
Eureka Cycling Club is affiliated with AusCycling which is the National body for cycling in Australia. The AusCycling website has all the information relating to what is included in the memberships regarding insurances. To race with Eureka Cycling you must be a member of AusCycling and either Eureka or another affiliated club. Visiting members can race with Eureka up to 2 times per year (excluding Opens and Invitationals) before they must become an Add-on member. Add-on memberships only costs the value of the club you are joining and this ensures you are eligible to race in all club events including championship events (qualification is required). Joining Eureka Cycling Club is a fantastic way to meet new people, get and maintain your fitness and contribute to your community, but it also comes with certain expectations and responsibilities. Full Membership
Joining Eureka as a full member simply means you are choosing Eureka Cycling Club to be your primary club and you will represent Eureka Cycling Club at events if you choose to race open events. If you must be a full member of an affiliated AusCycling Club to race competitively. A full membership consists of 3 components, The Club’s membership fee ($25), AusCycling’s Membership Fee & Insurance ($295 per annum). These fees can also be paid monthly through AusCycling. Add-on Membership
If you are already member of an affiliated AusCycling Club, you do not need to sign on as a full member. You can join Eureka as an Add-on Member. This means you can enjoy all the benefits of the club and you only have to pay the Club’s Joining Fee. Add-on Members have the same rights (and responsibilities) as any Full Member. 4 Week Free Trial
If you have not raced before, or you have not been a member of any AusCycling affiliated club, you can come a try it out for free for up to 4 weeks. This is great way to experience what it’s like to race at Club events and decide if road racing is for you. You can participate in any Club (non championship, open or trophy) events in that time frame but you wont be eligible for a prizes (except the weekly raffle of course).
