2023 AGM Update
On Sunday, 22 October 2023 at 10am, the Eureka Cycling Club held its annual general meeting at the clubrooms at Learmonth.
At this meeting the committee was dissolved and the new committee was elected unopposed. All nine positions on the committee have been filled for the first time since the new constitution was adopted 3 years ago.
Stuart Brien has been re-elected as the club president for another term and Peter Livitsanis remains on as the club secretary. Julie Connellan also remains as the vice president we thank those members for their continued support.
Peter Lamb was installed as the treasurer and we welcome him to the committee for the first time. Peter is an accountant by trade so his experience will be greatly appreciated. We thank Rick Calvert for his service over the last three years as the treasurer while he steps back from the role.
Graeme Parker remains on the committee as the club’s handicapper, Steve Crowe and Tim Sinclair remain on the committee for another year and we thank these club members for volunteering their time to help run our club again. We would like to welcome a few new committee members, Nick Drew and Nickolas Bird.
Nick Drew is a solicitor with Department of Transport & Planning and Nickolas Bird is a self employed professional filmmaker. Both have found their way to our club this year, but both have experience with other clubs and committees. They have been around cycling for a long time, and they are looking forward to making a contribution to the club beyond just racing and marshalling.
Other than the executive positions, the remaining roles and responsibilities will be assigned at the first committee meeting in November and the website will be updated. All of us on the committee are looking forward to challenge of maintaining and growing this club.
10th October 2023 - As per the Club Secretary’s email to all members on 29th of September 2023, the Eureka Cycling Club AGM is to be held on Sunday 22nd October 2023 at approximately 11.30am (after the completion of that day’s race) at the club rooms located at 55 Foreshore Drv Lake Learmonth.
All members are welcome where committee positions are declared vacant and nominations and questions can be emailed to eurekacyclingclub@gmail.com 12pm on Saturday 21st October 2023.
