Welcome To New Members

Sunday 23rd April saw the club run our first New Members and Visitors day and it was a great success! Overall, 23 riders took part with good number of those riders being visitors. The most pleasing part of this was the number of members who came out to ride with new members and visitors to help them learn the ropes, some from long distances!

This demonstrate the inclusive and encouraging culture of our club and it was fitting to see one of those members who embodies those characteristics and travelled from from a long way to help out the club and their new members, James Knipe win the raffle prize.

We’d like to say a warm welcome to those new members who signed on yesterday but also to those who have signed up in the last few months. We look forward to seeing you out racing in the coming weeks and in the second have of the season.

As was our promise, we have drawn a winner of the $200 voucher to a new member who has signed on help pay for their AusCycling fees and the winner is Adrian Kenny.

Given the success of this weeks event, the committee will be incorporating this event into the racing calendar going forward and we’ll aim to give it more promotion and exposure.
